Jane is a registered New Zealand and Australian patent attorney and a practicing lawyer with a PhD in organic chemistry. In 2007 she was appointed Senior Director of Intellectual Property and Contracts at Inotek Pharmaceuticals Corporation in Boston, USA. Jane later went on to found In-Legal in 2010.
Jane has extensive experience in intellectual property matters and an impressive list of clients including a number of major biotechnology, functional food, medical device and pharmaceutical companies. She is equally comfortable working with venture capitalists and investors though.

Julie has over 20 years’ experience as a lawyer and patent attorney representing a wide variety of clients including many well-known multinationals, particularly in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
Julie also served as President of the New Zealand Institute of Patent Attorneys and more recently as a member of Australia’s Professional Standards Board for Patent and Trade Marks Attorneys. She has consistently been recognised as one of New Zealand’s leading life sciences practitioners, having been recommended in Who’s Who Legal – Life Sciences (2010), Managing Intellectual Property’s Patent Law Practitioners (2011) and IAM’s World’s Leading Patent Practitioners (2012).

Caryn is a US qualified patent attorney and lawyer, with a PhD in molecular biology. She completed doctoral research at Princeton University and Harvard Medical School, and postdoctoral research as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute fellow at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
Caryn worked as a patent specialist in New York City for seven years, before moving to New Zealand. She has broad experience in patent practice in both countries, and in the management and development of patent portfolios. Her work involves a wide array of technologies, with particular emphasis on biologicals, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, green technologies, agriculture, and functional foods.
